I was just sitting here looking at the calendar of our upcoming events and special cooking days and the timeline is very compressed this year. I am kind of dreading the days between February 10 and February 15 now (Lunar New Year, Super Bowl Sunday, one of our birthdays, Mardi Gras, Valentine’s Day — HOW AM I GOING TO SURVIVE THIS). That week’s menu plan is going to be off the charts, and I’m going to need to start thinking about it now (am I making King Cake? do we have chicken wings?).
But, while that’s all very exciting I’m sure, let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves.
